PETALING JAYA - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak visited PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang at the National Heart Institute (IJN) on Thursday.
Abdul Hadi was admitted to hospital on Monday to undergo a heart valve replacement surgery.
"I was there for 15 minutes and had met Hadi's family and the doctors who were treating him.
"Alhamdulillah, the surgery went smoothly, he is now recovering," he said on his Facebook page on Thursday.
Najib also called on the people to pray for Abdul Hadi's quick recovery and for Allah's protection.
The three-hour heart surgery was performed by a panel of doctors led by IJN CEO and senior consultant cardiothoracic surgeon Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Azhari Yakub, cardiothoracic surgery head Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Jeswant Dillon and anaesthesiology department deputy head Datuk Dr Suhaini Kadiman.
