This was her response to a statement by Selangor executive councillor Datuk Teng Chang Khim that he would offer her a municipal councillor's post in Selangor should she quit as a candidate for the Kajang by-election within 48 hours.
Chew, who is a MCA vice-president, slammed Teng saying he had insulted her.
"Please ask him not to insult me," she told reporters after visiting the BN operations centre at Taman Kantai Permai here.
Teng was reported to have made the offer in a ceramah on Monday night.
She said Teng should instead not support and attend Parti Keadilan Rakyat ceramah as the party had deliberately created the by-election to resolve its internal problems.
"As a responsible politician, he should not get involved as the by-election is unnecessary," said Chew, who was a former Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister.
She resigned the post in 2010 following differences with the party leadership then.
