Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem said today he will confirm and announce next month the names of all Barisan Nasional candidates for the coming Sarawak state election.

"I have all the names now from component parties like the Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS), Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) and the Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP).

"I also have the list of names from the two BN friendly parties the United People's Party (UPP) and Teras (Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak) as well," he told a media conference here.

He had earlier on attended a closed-door session with some 2,500 principals, headmasters, senior assistants, district education officers and Education Department officers from throughout the state attending the National Education Convention 2016 for Sarawak at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here.

Also present were the Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid, the state Minister of Land Development Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing and the Education Department Director-General Datuk Seri Dr Khair Mohamad Yusof.

Adenan added he had also sorted out most of the problems affecting the state BN component parties except for a few involving Teras and UPP.

He said the BN was optimistic of taking back four seats now held by the DAP but he declined to name the urban seats.

"We have done our calculations and we are quite optimistic," he said.

He also declined to confirm if candidates deemed winnable from Teras and UPP would be asked to resign from their respective parties in order for them to contest using the BN symbol.

He said he would meet the Head of State Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud to obtain his consent to dissolve the state legislative assembly at an appropriate time.

On another matter, Adenan said he was unaware of the false facebook account under his name which was said to have been created by Perak DAP chief Nga Kok Ming.

The facebook had very offensive language purportedly from Adenan asking the Chinese community to return to China.

"I do not have any idea about this for me to initiate any action," he said.
